Founded in 2023, Wasted Wrld is a contemporary fashion label rooted in Indian craftsmanship and guided by a brutalist design philosophy. The brand merges Indian aesthetics with Japanese silhouettes, creating garments that explore the tension between structure and imperfection — where utility meets poetry.
At its core, Wasted Wrld is a study in material honesty. Each collection reimagines the possibilities of natural fabrics — handloom cotton, Eri silk, linen, wool, and denim — emphasizing texture, form, and raw construction. The brand’s signature lies in its embrace of unfinished edges, industrial detailing, and timeless silhouettes that transcend trend.
Collaborating closely with Indian artisans and karigars from South India, Bihar, and Himachal Pradesh, Wasted Wrld fosters a community that preserves traditional craftsmanship while evolving it through contemporary design language.
Positioned between ready-to-wear and sustainable luxury, the brand represents a new standard of conscious design — where quality, purpose, and perspective coexist. Every piece becomes a dialogue between maker and wearer, past and present, refinement and rawness.
Ultimately, Wasted Wrld is a reflection of our shared human experience — how things evolve, weather, and grow more beautiful with time. Every piece carries that philosophy: to embrace what’s real, to find meaning in process, and to wear something that feels alive.
About the Designer
Abhay Rawat, founder and designer of Wasted Wrld, brings an unconventional lens to contemporary fashion. With a background in Mechanical Engineering and over a decade of experience as a fashion model, Abhay’s transition into design was shaped by a deep understanding of construction, fit, and longevity.
Having worked with leading designers such as Shantanu & Nikhil and Gaurav Gupta, as well as international labels including Pronounce (Milan), Antik Batik (Paris), and Loewe, Abhay developed a nuanced perspective on global craftsmanship and the emotional life of clothing. His work and journey have been featured in ELLE, GQ, and Vogue.
A self-taught designer, Abhay began studying fashion during the pandemic in 2019, guided by curiosity and instinct rather than convention. His engineering background informs a precise approach to form, structure, and function, while his design sensibility embraces imperfection, texture, and emotion.
Through Wasted Wrld, Abhay explores the intersection of craft and consciousness — creating garments that are expressive yet enduring, built to evolve with time rather than be replaced by it. His work reflects a pursuit of honesty in design: raw, intentional, and deeply human.
