AJI, meaning “flavour” or “character” in Japanese, is about everything that shapes us. It isn’t about perfection — it’s about growth, memory, and transformation.
Just as a tree bends with the wind, or walls gather the colour and dust of their surroundings, we too are sculpted by the environments we move through — by what we endure, who we meet, and what we choose to carry forward. Our garments, like us, absorb these traces. They soften with time, fade with touch, and evolve into quiet reflections of experience. Inspired by brutalist structure and material honesty, AJI embraces the rough and the imperfect. Each garment is a portrait of becoming — a living form that changes with its wearer, shaped not only by craft but by the life it encounters.
